More about the stupid dope who wrote the article in Slate. Stephen A Smith was on the John Thompson Show and had much of the same reaction as TK this morning.

TK says he's not a "locker room columnist" anymore and he doesn't pretend to be one.

Czabe asked why TK isn't just still doing the Style column. Tony said it was the hardest thing he ever had to write, since he felt the pressure to be funny every week.

Briefly, TK talked about the Gibbs thing, but Liz Clarke from the Post said it wasn't a big deal and he was kidding.

The central theme today is TK ranting about an article this guy Stephen Roderick wrote about "the death of sportswriting" that took some shots at TK. Yes, lots of ill-will was wished by Mr Tony.

The other shocking events were TK saying he actually went out with some folsk from the Post, including Mike Wise and the in-town Mustang Sally.

** Armen Keteyan -- talked about his Real Sports on HBO piece about gambling.
** Junior -- ACC hoop discussion. Jr also takes TK to task for using the redundant phrase "frozen tundra" in his column today and compared him to ESPN's 800-lb gorilla. Jr also kills the DC area schools for not playing regularly against each other, like they do in Philly.
** Old Guy Radio -- ? and the Mysterians - "96 Tears"
** Joe Gibbs' NASCAR Presser -- Joe apparently didn't have a good time in the NFL last year and wanted to return to racing when he's done. He also said his time in the NFL will be short and "shorter if they don't win more next year." Andy, of course, professed, doom and gloom.

More traffic issues

The traffic, as it turns out, was not that bad for TK, probably due to everything being closed and people having the day off.

The notion of what the "gimmick food" would be at the Nationals' games would be (like Boog's BBQ in Baltimore). TK could really care less about this topic. TK doesn't really see the point of copying stuff from another stadium.

About the Wake Forest kid who made the throat slash and missed the free throw. PTI got an email jihad about the topic, since Tk and MW did it yesterday on TV. Tk thinks that the kid should be suspended for doing the slash.

Briefly, talk about whehter Moss is tradable or not and would the Danny be interested?

The first segment is all about TK's travel travails last night, trying to get from PTI to a restaurant, due to Van Man, a noddnik threatening to blow himself up.

DA freely admits when he is wrong, like when he said Jared Jeffries would be better than Amare Stoudamire (sp).

DA also poo-poos the Curse of Les Boulez. TK calls him a fool.

Bagelgate

We begin with Czabe's request for a salt bagels in the morning. Andy told him that they didn't have them, but Czabe called them and they do.

TK gives his bagel knowledge, which includes being offended by things like raisin bagels and other "vanity" bagels. People who make "sun dried tomato" bagels should be shot.

On to sports and the Boulez. TK doesn't know what to do about it, since they are good, but not great and therefore not great topics for a column.
